SGASD Hosts 3rd Annual Chorus Day, Bringing Together 294 Student Singers

Last month, Spring Grove Area School District celebrated its 3rd annual Chorus Day, uniting 294 singers from grades 5 through 12 for a day filled with music, collaboration, and community spirit.

The event featured individual choir performances, cross-grade collaborations, and a special highlight where SGI students learned a brand-new song — in a different language — taught by the middle school chorus in just 35 minutes. The day concluded with a powerful combined performance of the SG Alma Mater and “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing.”

Chorus Day promotes a love for lifelong choral singing by breaking down barriers between buildings, encouraging musical growth, and creating positive memories through shared song.

A special thank you goes to organizers Mr. Dan Fake, Ms. Johnna McGreevy, and Ms. Abby Kirkpatrick for bringing this meaningful event to life.
